Many of the best rap songs I've heard are not played in mainstream but I like them much more than rock music. Anyone else have any opinions on that?

Stitchfan, there many people who could say exactly the same about rock: "I have never heard a good rock song (AKA noise). Rap is much better, especially the classic oldies.

Some people seem to not have read my question carefully. I'm not talking about mainstream "new school" rap, which is what you probably have in mind. If that's the only rap you've ever heard then please don't comment.

It depends on the artist but I listen to rap more than rock.

I don't dislike Rap, but I do think
it all sounds the same, basically.
I like Hip-Hop better. Rock the best.
