is there a degree above a Phd?
I heard that there is a level above a phd. Does anyone know?

Not above, no. If you have a Ph.D. you could a) get another one, b) have an honorary Ph.D. further conferred upon you or c) win a post-doctoral fellowship award. But the Ph.D. is the ultimate terminal degree.
What you might be thinking of is the academic appointments which come after the awarding of the Ph.D. So you can become a Fellow, or a Professor with various ranks and such like. But those are not degrees.

Well, Phd is the highest degree you can earn but there are post doctoral positions that they get when they are working in a university or a research facility...

No. After some people get a Ph.D, they go on to a post-doctoral position, before getting a research or teaching job, but the post-doc doesn't come with a degree. It's just a two or three-year research appointment.

Nope. The highest degree is a Ph.D. Now, after that, one COULD do post-doctoral work but that's not a degree.
