where would the cmos switch/battery be? i cant find my computers manual. is the switch on power supply or motherboard? wat would it generally look like?

CMOS battery is a round flat silver ... sit mainly in a black holder with silver grips.

The jumper looks like [;] ... mainly black near the battery... with 3 pins/ or 4 pins to reset/clear/secure cmos

The battery is unmistakable. If you have looked, you should have found it. Looks like an oversized watch battery.

It will be located near the BIOS chip, as well as the CMOS jumper.

It's on the motherboard. In my experience, usually in a corner, near where the main power supply plugs in to the motherboard.

open up your computer. There will a battery (coin cell). just pull it out.
