first you take off all your clothes, then get yourself a nice towel. we nudists don't like any unseemly stains on the furniture. then you walk around naked, play volleyball etc.

It's not as simple as just taking off your clothes. You need to first learn when and where nudism is appropriate. The first step to becoming a nudist is learning about nudism, what to expect and what will be expected of you.
Go to nudist websites (listed below) and after studying them, start communicating with experienced nudists. They will give you valuable information, answer your questions, and help you decide when the time is right to try it for yourself.
When you actually take the big step and go to a beach or club, you won't feel so isolated or out of place. You might even have an online friend to go with you to help with the first time fears.
When and how to tell your family is something you need to decide after you have visited a nudist club or naturist beach. Only then will you have the answers to the questions they are sure to ask.
Sleep nude... Stay nude after showers,.. by all means, try being nude at home when you're alone and, after you've discussed with your family, if they approve, you're on your way.
Remember that one of the main principles of nudist behavior is "Nude when possible, dressed when practical".

Join a local nudist colony or group, if you are so lucky to have one. Look and ask around if you don't know if there is one; chances are you'll find something nearby by looking on Google, Yahoo! Groups, tribe.net, Myspace Groups, or Meetup.com. Then go and meet with them (or form your own if you can't find out). You'll probably find that their meetings aren't necessarily conducted in the nude, but that they support nudism, give options to talk about and discuss it, and probably organize trips and vacations to clothing-optional places.
To tell your family, just sit down and tell them you're a nudist. You can go the serious route, or you can jokingly say that you love to be naked, and have started hanging out with nudists. You know your family better than I do; you decide. And if you think your nudism won't be a big part of your life, just a weekend and private thing, then you may question whether you want to tell them at all.
Do you walk around nude at home? It's up to you. Being a nudist doesn't mean you must be naked all the time. It's more about when you feel comfortable shedding clothes (and it's appropriate and won't get you arrested), and doing that. If you want to, then sure, go naked around the house. If not, then you don't have to do it.
Basically, "nudist" is just something you are. If you feel the compulsion to be naked, I'd say you're already a nudist!
Hope that helps.

Step 1: Remove your clothes.
Step 2: Walk around your house nude, get used to it.
Step 3: Be naked as much as you can in public, such as loker rooms and the beach.
Step 4: Get enrolled in a nudist camp, and spend your free time there.
Step 5: Get married to a nudist, and have nudist kids.
Step 6: Take over the world!
About the family: just tell them you are going to this spa where everyone is naked all day, and you liked it!
About being naked at home: only do it if the other people living there agree. Remember, it's not only your home unless you live alone.

Join a nudist colony or go to a nudist camp/spa and you can walk around nude at home if you want to, AND if no one in your house minds...How to tell your family??? um, "I'm a nudist" would probably work, but, maybe just warn them that your thinking about it and researching to get more information. That way when you actually decide, they will have had some forewarning.

I think the best place to start is to find an organization that is a nudist one and then from there it should be easier to become nudist. You dont have to tell your family if you dont want to what you do in your time is your business.

While i wouldn't suggest walking around nude at home, especially if there are small children and perents ( ooooh gross, your mom saw you naked ) go to your room, take off your clothes and just do anything you normally would, with the exception of twirling knives or other sharp objects and bouncing rubber balls that may end up hitting you in the narglies, OY vat a pain !

Waaaal, you start by removing your cloths. Then, when the questions are being fired at you, you just sit back with a beverage in one hand and a donut in the other, throw your head back and tell them you will be glad to explain things when everyone else takes off their clothes. Oh, one more thing make sure the tv is not tuned to Jerry Springer, Maury or anything like that. No need to get anyone riled up. Just stay calm and munch on your donut.

Just take your clothes off, you'll be nude then. Best way to tell the folks is to arrange a dinner party with all of your relatives & just walk in Stark Bollock Naked! That'll soon put an end to the after dinner chat.

if you live alone go for it, but if you live with family/roommates/friends you really should not go nude without there approval because it might be freeing to you but it might freak them out. and if that is the case, maybe just go nude in your room and so they don't barge in make a steadfast rule that they knock.
there also might be nudist clubs in your area you might be able to join and i use to work at a book store that sold a nudist magazine so you might check/call local bookstores or indy bookstores to see if they do.
good luck and be free!!!!!!
