I'm presently working on a band in my town of Brisbane to promote the nudist and naturist way of life to the Generation X and Y crowds, as I'm bored with nudist clubs only booking 'oldies' acts all the time. After all, the Harry Potter series turned on a lot of young adults to the Wicca and witchcraft religion and faith, why can't the same be done for the nudist movement? I've been one since I was 19 and am very disappointed that our nudist leaders haven't done enough to penetrate the youth culture in the Anglicised world.

We are out to educate people about the facts that you don't have to have perfect skin or look like a supermodel in order to enjoy nude recreation of a non-sexual nature.

Having been a nudist and professional musician for longer than you've been alive, I think it's a great idea. Music is a universal language that can appeal to others on a different level. Once you have them listening to your music, they'll listen to your naturist message as well.
As you probably already know, there are not many of your target audience already in the clubs. Play in outside venues to build up a following. Once you have them hooked on your music, they'll follow you anywhere. Once you have them actually experiencing the nudist life, the battle is almost won
There is a also market for music in the clubs, if you can bring in an audience. Unfortunately, most clubs don't have a large musical entertainment budget.
The money from live appearances doesn't add up to nearly as much as the t-shirt sales, and the t-shirt sales don't come until after you record and go on the promotional tour. The real money in music is still in writing and publishing. Get the music perfected first, build up a following, record a hit, and then you can pick your venues.

I applaud your efforts. The problem I see is finding a venue where the general public will be able to hear and "see" the band! Without that , finding new people to try out the nudist and naturist way of life could be difficult. In fact, this is the main reason that public nudity or nudist life is not expanding now. Only the nudists are involved and they just can't get it together to advertise!

Maybe. But what would be the hook that would get people to see them? Their videos wouldn't play on MTV (but that's true of all bands these days), ClearPlay might not touch them, it would be hard for them to book bigger venues. Maybe it would work as some sort of viral thing over X Tube. And unless they were a legitimately good band, they'd just be "those guys that play naked."
Anyway, modern nudism has been a niche market as long as it's existed. If you're thinking of effecting major change, think decades, not years.
