Texas no, Louisiana I don't think so.

There is one state back east (West Virginia, maybe?) that allows anyone to sit for the bar, and to get licensed if they pass.

Some states allow people to sit for the bar if they underwent an apprenticeship program of 5 years, rather than a formal law school of 3-4 years. California is one that allows that option.
