Well, it sure wouldn't be my choice, that's for sure.
But Che Guevara is admired by many hispanics--for the very good reason that he opposed the many "banana republic" dictators that invested Latin America (and still do, to a degree).
Che also has the advantage that he never came to power like Fidel Castro did--so he never fell prey to the corruptions of such power as did castro. He is thus still remembered by many as a freedom fighter. So if someone picks him for an avatar--well, I'd question their good judgement, but I'd certainly give them the benefit of the doubt as far as their motives.

Sure. 'True American' is a meaningless phrase. An American is an American, and plenty have some odd fascination with Ernesto 'Che' Guevara.

Only a young knucklehead would use it. Any mature person who was educated, who knew the history of the man would know he was Castro's hit man and was directly responsible for thousands of deaths in Cuba and other countries - would not.
You obviously are clueless, so go ahead and use it...it only confirms what we already know.
