We are not stereotypes
We are human just like the rest of the nationalities out there
I know very few people with red hair
I know people who don't drink
I know people who aren't loyal to their family or religion or culture
I know people who don't fight and have never gotten in a fight in their lives and never would
You can't generalise a whole nationality by outdated, obnoxious, untrue and idiotic stereotypes
And i would challenge anyone to say those stereotypes to someone in Ireland and see if they are true our not

A "typical" Irish person is just like an other human on the face of the planet. Different from person to person. as far as me and my family *third gen. Irish* we are EXTREMELY loyal to our family, and are very hard working people. Just as, another Irish person or family could despise each other, and be lazy, and sit on their a** all day. I can not believe a question this nieve would be asked. We're just as ranged in human abilities, emotions, and differences as anyone else.

A typical Irish person is a hard working, honest individual with family and friends, bills, work and a life just like anyone else. They eat, sleep, work, laugh and cry just like you. They also enjoy life to the fullest, and for one day a year join all other people both the Irish and those that wish that they were and enjoy St. Patrick's Day. Enjoy.

Old stereotypes:
Shifty,
Devious,
unhealthy appetite for Taytoes,
Drunk all the time (granted that's a common Celtic theme)
They "Tink" instead of "Think"
All called Pat or Mick (even the women)
Like to fight over different views on one religion (something that happened in other Celtic countries in the 17TH CENTURY).

Having said that, i'd share a pint with my Celtic cousins anyday. I would rather pull out my own teeth with pliers before sitting down for a drink with a Yank.

I know the Irish are superior athletes to the scottish and are well endowed as well. Usually can be found beating a scottish man to a pulp or enjoying a the scottish women and their extremely loose morals.

Irish is no different then any other.
Generally have light colored hair or reddish.
Usually light colored eyes and a paler skin tone.

But you cant generalize because it is like any other place.....depends on region.

But we don't keep a pot of gold any more at the end of the rainbow....We now carry debit/credit cards.
Got tired of everyone trying to steal our gold.

A typical Irish person is one who is usually pale, and has brown, black or red hair. Bright eyes, pretty happy people, in general.
