I heard this a few days ago and would like someone to confirm it? if he is that is such a shame because i love Uncle Buck and Cool Runnings!

Yes sadly this comic legend died in 1994, while filming "Wagons East". He made lots of fabulous films though, including :-
- Planes Trains & Automobiles (must see movie)
- Uncle Buck
- Who`s Harry Crumb ?
- The Great Outdoors
- Cool Runnings
- Little Shop Of Horrors (great cameo role)

John Candy died in 1994, he was a very funny man and I too love Uncle Buck hysterical movie

Yes, I'm drifting in and out of the news but I do believe he is dead--all of that overweight and who knows as a hollywood str. wh, drugs he did --or maybe he just passed a natural death--death is death-for which I am sorry but maybe death is a joyous occasion --they will go to a better place???

Yes, he died from a heart attack years ago. He was a great actor, it's very sad that his life was cut short.
