If you are in the USA, in all likelihood it's a fuse or circuit breaker .
The dryer is probably hooked up to a 220 volt line, and there are two fuses in a separate box, usually near the panel box.
It may also be IN the panel box on it's own 220 circuit breaker.
Check to make sure the breaker is reset, or replace the fuses. (Hopefully, someone had the forethought to have some spares around for you.)
Good luck.

if the machine is belt driven, replace the belt, this is a job for the nimble fingered and someone who doesn't get peed off real easily, as it is working in real tight quarters. Done it once, never again.
Might be a fuse or a loose connection, make sure the electrical cord is plugged in securely. Eliminate the easy fixes before tackling the belt.

It's the belt... it's broke or slipped off (since you recently had it worked on).
You'd do better hiring someone because it is a pain the first time replacing it. These guys are experienced and they do it quick.
Call the same people and tell them that a friend told you that the didn't put the belt back on right. It might save you some money if they think you are suggesting they didn't do soemthign right.

could be a belt.
Might be time to just get a new dryer
for what it costs to repair (call the repairman and confirm) you might do better just replacing it)
a dryer can be had for $400 or so
the repair could easily cost you $200
