The cheapest and easiest thing you could do is to install a lower profile tire, that will reduce your final gearing slightly and aid pickup.

I am assuming the cobra fuel processor is a "power commander"? If not, this will make a huge difference. Change the airbox, cheap, and easy to do yourself.

u could replace the cams with cams that's either more torquey, or more of a high performance cam to start. if that still dont do it, u could have the intake/exhaust ports reamed out and polished...aka, ported and polished, u could have the cases rebored a bit bigger along with bigger pistons. then those need heavier lifter springs and valves. it all depends on how much cash u have....cause these mods wont come cheap, and there is another price to get more horsepower.....it's lower gas mileage.

The next step is engine modification.
Talk to your local motorcycle speed shop, or go to a motorcycle drag race in your area and ask some riders.
