COPPER, find an ick treatment with copper in it and use it in the tank, it won't hurt the fish

SALT, a little aquarium salt won't hurt the fish, but the snails won't like it

HAND REMOVAL, remove egg sacks and snails by hand or using traps

STARVATION, snails need a lot of food to survive, don't overfeed the tank and they won't thrive

well as the other guy said, you can either scoop um out with a net, or you can add half a teaspoon of salt, UNLESS AND I REPEAT UNLESs, you have a tetra or a catfish, then you will kill them so do not. Or you can starve them by removing all the stuff they eat but this method takes a long time, its best to just remove them. That is the safest and fastest way

To add to Bzzflygirl's list, BAITING. Put a letttuce leaf in the tank and weight it down. They'll come to the leaf to feed - if you leave it in overnight, just pull out the leaf and attached snails the next day. Repeat as necessary.

OK the easy way to get them all in one spot for removal is....

Get one of those weekend feeder cubes (triangles, seashell shaped. whatever) and put it in a clear plastic cup. then submerge the cup on it's side at the bottom of the tank. Snales love these things and will gather on it in the cup to eat. once you have a group of them in there take the cup out, throw it away and start over until the snales are gone or down to a manageable population for your tank.

Good luck.
