You didnt say how far along you were. If you are not past your due date then you need to let your baby come naturally! so you dont harm your child. If your OB things its time to induce then he or she will do it in the hospital under safe conditions

I have a preemie who came at 28 weeks.. she spent almost 2 months in the NICU.

If you are past your due date, walk and have sex. This will help move things along. a component in Sperm called prostaglandin will soften the cervix (not cause contractions) and walking will help get those contractions going.

Just wait it out. Having you membranes stripped may help, but I had it done 3 times before my son came 2 days before his due date. Other than actually being induced using pitocin, that baby will come when it's good and ready. We tried sex, eating pineapples, stimulating my nipples...nothing worked til he was ready. Just be patient. No one has ever stayed pregnant forever. :)

They're all old wives tales, nothing will really work if your body's not already ready to go into labor. Don't waste your time trying, you'll only frustrate yourself when nothing works. Use the time to read, rest, or watch movies, you won't be doing much of these soon.

ive done alot of research, and asked this question a ton of times, the native americans used an herb called "Blue Cohosh" which can be mixed up for "Black Cohosh," which is extremely dangerous for a pregnant women, do NOT use blue cohosh in the first 7 months of pregnancy, as it will cause your uterus to contract, blue cohosh is equal to a pharmasutical substance, we all know as "Pitocin"

i was told by a herbologist, to take rasberry leaf tea, with 10 drops of the blue cohosh extract up to four times, he also stressed again, not to take it if i am before 37 weeks gestation, as it can harm the fetus...

Walking is supposed to help. Really though, it's not up to you. It's up to your baby. It can't stay in there forever, your time will come!

Sex can naturally induce labor because semen causes contractions in the uterus.
