okay so i just watched it for the first time and im a bit confused. If the witch didnt pu tthe curse on the family then how come there was a ghost. I get that the father was abusing the daughter but like why was the ghost focusing around the daughter?? Just can someone explain like the movie plz.
And who thought that the movie was kinda boring in the beginning but then after the mom had that "vision" wile she was sitting on the porch it started picking up and get scary. I was soooo scared when it showed us the dad raping her. It freaked me out when the blanket went up then it showed a hand on ehr head and it was soooo scary!!!
But it was great!!

the family was cursed because of the fathers rape of his daughter if the mom didnt know she had to wonder what was going on she should have protected her child.the ghost i think represnted the death of innocence and the guilt that the father had and the shame as he should have.people who do bad things usually try to blame someone else its easier than blaming yourself and since he cheated his neighbor it was possible that she wanted revenge so you might have thought she did curse him but he cursed himself.

the woman was not a witch she was just trying to scare the man. the ghost didnt want just to kill the father or hurt him physically the ghost wanted to hurt him mentally. i mean you did something bad to the one you love and ten tat person is getting hurt and only you know why, and you caused all tis to happen

From what I got from the movie was there was no ghost. It was the girl lashing back at her dad for molesting her. I don't know if she was dead and came back or if she was alive a doing this unconsciencely (spelling?).
