I noticed these miniature bumps on my areolas and I don't know if they're normal or not. They're a bunch surrounding my nipples, but the minuature bumps don't hurt, they look white kind of. I don't have kids and no, I'm not pregnant.
Are these bumps normal??? Have any of you ladies had this before?

They are normal and even have a name.

Montgomery's Glands (Areolar Glands)
These are those small nodules that look and function like extra large "goose bumps". They are sebaceous glands that secrete a waxy, lipoid fluid to lubricate, moisturize and protect the areola and the nipple. Stimulation causes them to become more prominent.

The body is amazing - no?

Yes! It's perfectly normal. These little bumps provide the lubrication to the nipples for breast-feeding, even when you're not breast-feeding. So you're perfectly normal. :)

everyone has them- male and female. They are natural. Neither myself or my husband really noticed them until we were adults.

(we had a really odd conversation about them ourselves)

He said they produced oil- but heaven knows where he got that info.

All women have them. They are small ducts which lubricate the breast. When you have your children, this is how an infant recognizes his mothers breast.
They also get bigger after you have children.
