Question about alpacas?

Just curious. Does any one know why alpacas are so much more expensive than llamas? Is their fiber that much more expensive?

it's almost the same, thing is alpacas are more scarce... an llamas are easier to find

Not a clue, but I've seen them go for 25,000 a piece and more.
