i just surfed a p*rn site and wanting to exit from it,i went straight in a 'privacy protector' which said that things like the temporary files and reserved data could give me away and could restrict my net access and affect my future marriages and credit cards......
is it just scam or for real...it asked for an install with registration or something and scanned my pc for so many files...i dont think i have used that many n for one i never save any such data....

IS IT SCAM?...plz dont joke and tell me:i am very worried and scared out of my wits!

Are you seriously asking is it for real? It came from a porn website and how can it possibly affect future marriages? Anyways no need to fret. Download spybot search and destroy and/or Adaware SE from download.com, run them and you should be good to go. Antivirus could help but not really. I Assume you've already run that so after that you should be good to go.

Most of the time, this so-called reliable privacy protector software's simply erase your history and turn off Autocomplete in your web browser. Both of which you could do yourself. In the Internet Options (under the Tools in the munu) find the history and set it to a week. This will cover your a$$ in more ways than one and will save space on your hard drive. Another way is to shut off the AutoComplete which can also be found in the Tools and Internet Options.

If you feel that your marriage could be ruined when your wife finds out that you have been looking at it, you're better off not looking at it all. If you love and respect your wife, you won't look at it. That's all it comes down to.

Well, it is not really a scam. Privacy software is something that many people like to have. But there is really not much of a need for it. Really all it does is gives you a false sense of security for a fairly large price tag.

A good rule of thumb is, if it pops up on a porn site, don't believe it.
