NOAA SAYS U.S. WINTER TEMPERATURE NEAR AVERAGE
Global December-February Temperature Warmest on Record
March 15, 2007 — The December 2006-February 2007 U.S. winter season had an overall temperature that was near average, according to scientists at the NOAA National Climatic Data Center in Asheville, N.C. Precipitation was above average in much of the center of the nation, while large sections of the East, Southeast and West were drier than average. It's been causing some unusual weather patterns, but otherwise not too much; we won't really start feeling the effects for at least another 50 years. Of course, then it'll be too late..

What I like is how they point out the weather was average and then go on to say it was the warmest on record.

Do you realize there is such a large discrepancy between the methods used to collect temperature data over time and by region that the data wouldn't even be considered valid in a medical trial?

Edit - William makes a great example of the Global Warming alarmists position. Its coming so we have to react now to stop it!!! Since we don't know 1) If man's activities are the cause and 2) If so how much man is responsible then how do we know what will fix it? Most of the Global Warming critics just want proof that it is caused by man and that the cures that are being touted will fix the problem and not cause other problems in the future. We have time to study the problem and get it right no matted what we find people.

All that hot air? That's just something Republicans do. It's the natural cycle of things. It was happening a long time before I was here and will probably continue after I'm gone...

I'm just playing with you...

I don't really know much about how it will impact me personally. I don't know that any of us do. It will depend on how fast climate change manifests itself. I'm pretty confident that as a species, mankind will adapt. I'm equally confident that the first casualty will be the swagger with which so many ignorant Americans carry themselves when they are faced with an understanding of how complicit they were in their willingness to be duped. Inconvenient may be an understatement.

You are a gullible fool. Click on the following link and watch this scientific documentary. It proves that man-made global warming is a farse. Also, the earth was much warmer in 1000 AD than it is now. England enjoyed some prosperity as a result. In fact, England used to be known for their vineyards.

It doesn't. Al Gore type "Global Warming" is a myth. If you are talking about natural cycles of warming of the Earth, it is only temporary.
