If i go to a place like bestbuy or Circuit Ciry and i pick up a brand new desktop. Will the Windows Vista Software be included in it?
I need to know because what if my cpu gets damaged and i want to do system recovery, How am i going to do it w/out the vista cd? Or if there's another program that can do it, i'd love to know

The software will come with it one of two ways. It will either have a recovery partition on the hard drive that stores the vista install information.
Or they will give you a set of recovery disks. Keep in mind that these disks will only work for that particular computer.
The salesman will tell you if you ask them.

Yes some of them do, you can the assistant at any shop wether the cpu has windows vista installed or is even windows vista capable, so you can then upgrade it. good luck.

Yes it does, and it should also come with a recovery CD that can help you restore your PC just in case of any problem.

Depends on the hardware vendor.
Most vendor do now, but there are also vendors that offers bundled in Linux operating system in a bid to reduce their PC (or in your case, you called it CPU) offerings.

dont call a computer a cpu.....
a computer has a cpu in it...... its a small piece of metal and plastic.
but no, most guys like hp and dell assume people are stupid and they wont know what to do with an os on a disc.
they dont bother
