When I go on a web site that checks the status of your drivers, it shows some which can be updated, but when you attempt this, it immediately ask you to register, and asks for the usual $39. 99 Is there a web site I can visit, and get these for free. Its funny whenever you let them check, they typically find all these faults. Thanks

The best place to start is Microsoft Update. Click Custom Install, and then click Select optional hardware updates in the left column.

If you know the specific name and version number of the driver you need, chances are you can download it from the Windows Update Catalog.

To use the Windows Update Catalog

On the Microsoft Update home page, under Other options click Administrator options.

Under Update multiple operating systems click Windows Update Catalog.

Click Find driver updates for hardware devices.

Click Pick a hardware category, and search for the latest updates to keep your devices working properly.

The updates that fee money are a hoax. real motive force updates are loose on the web website of the producer in spite of the undeniable fact that it is not straightforward to pick which website is the real one. save attempting until eventually eventually you discover it.
