I live in Sundown Glen, which is surrounded by Raintree Village. My sister-in-law and her family live about 3/4 of a mile away from us in Raintree Village. It is a great area to live in. There are many families and kids everywhere. For the most part, thing are quiet and there are a lot of cul-de-sacs so it give the kids a safe place to play out in the front yard areas. Plus, there is not much traffic through the area (except on Raintree Village Rd.)
There is a lot of shopping along Fry Rd, Mason Rd., and Katy Mills Mall is just minutes away!
Currently, there are two local elementary schools (with a third to open fall 2007), two junior highs (with a third to open fall 2008), and Morton Ranch HS. I love the Katy ISD schools! ( http://www.katyisd.org ) There are neighborhood pocket parks, the neighborhood park, tennis courts, and swimming pool. There is also the Mary Jo Peckham Park which is about 15 minutes away down Franz Rd, but it has a walking trail, a stocked pond for fishing, playground, free Putt Putt golf, an indoor pool, an exercise facility (free for Harris County Residents), and they also offer free classes for children and adults!
