I'm not, I dislike holidays. I like the getting there and the getting back - it's the bit in the middle I find intolerable. My sister has just been to visit and complained very loudly that I haven't been to visit her in Kent (I'm Sunderland) since 2004. It was 12 years after my last visit. I've never been to visit my best friend at her home in Peterborough - obviously, she lived in Sunderland at one time otherwise we couldn't have become best friends.
I only visit my brother who lives about eight miles away once a year - at Christmas - and that's because he insists and comes to get me to make sure I actually get there.
As for a holiday that didn't involve visiting family, that would have been 15 years ago when I visited a penpal in Miami. The new EuroDisney (or Disneyland Europe as I believe it was called at first) was just about to open because I was telling a little American boy about it in the airport on the way back - he was complaining about going to Europe as there was nothing there he would enjoy.
I've never been on a package holiday. Wouldn't know what Spain looks like, it's just not my thing.

I'm off to the Algarve wit my husband, son and another couple & their girl - can't wait, though have to as it's not till June! Unfortunately we had to pay, I bet a free holiday is so much better!
