What is included in Guild Wars, Factions, and Nightfall? Do Factions and Nightfall require the original Guild Wars to play? If yes, do they have the features of the original Guild Wars?

Each Guild Wars chapter works without the others. All 3 have the 6 basic character types... Factions and Nightfall have two additional (8 total each). Factions adds alliance battles to the game, while Nightfall has a hero system and hero battles. Being a player of all three, I'd recommend Prophecies (the original) or Nightfall... skip Factions as the story is not nearly as good.
Edit: To the guy below me... No, you do not need the original to play the other chapters. They work independently, as well as together.

I am not sure about nightfall, cuz i dont have it. But in factions you get 2 new chars, an Assassin, and a Ritualist (kinda like a monk but better... too me)
Yes it does require the origanal, and after so far you can go to the original island.
