I mean, most of the movies in theatres right now are either remakes of older versions or based on a book. What happened to new, fresh scripts?

Yeah, they have. Studios need to start buying new scripts with fresh ideas instead of remaking old films and television series. The number of sequels in theaters today is appalling, and I say that even though I am the first one to go see the latest Batman or Spider-Man movie.

We need to encourage new and accomplished filmmakers to create new and stunning ideas. By going to films that challenge us as viewers, we will be sending a message to Hollywood that we demand fresh cuisine and no longer want the reheated leftovers from yesterday.

What do you mean by no originality?

A large majority of movies are books. Back then and now. As of right now we are in the generation of comic book films.

Quentin Tarantino is a master of originality. Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill, Resevoir Dogs, and several more great films.

The Saw trilogy was a refreshing and very original movie series. Jigsaw has to be one of the most genius killers. The contraptions used, the plots, the twists, it is just great.

300 is based off of a graphic novel, but the film style and imagery is just purely unique and something that has not been done. It was beautiful to look at and is something that we may see more often in movies.

Crash was very original and a very inspiring movie.

There are tons of movies out with originality and fresh scripts. Nothing is wrong with a book becoming a movie or even comic book films. Each generation has there genre and ours happens to be comic book films. These are being made in top form.

I have no problem with the movies that are being made. They are getting closer to real life.

As a action picture buff , i'm ill of remakes and diversifications as nicely. the clarification for it is to make certain that the action picture they produce has a equipped in objective marketplace , the followers of the source cloth. i will comprehend why the studios do no longer choose to take hazards in terms of rewarding paintings , 7 out of each and every 11 video clips made in Hollywood LOSE funds curiously.

i agree, but its just because that is what they think the veiwers want to see. like a movie comes out and then does good other directors are going to want to do well also so they do something like the other movie but just changes it up a bit. and remakes are just directors trying to show you a movie that you probably would not watch because it is old they just think it might be a good movie. shia real talk

The ones that are good have no support and are low budget and not mainstream. There are good ones out there, but they dont ever make it to theatres.

Netflix has some underground movies available... the kind you could never rent at Blockbuster or anything.

I agree so I've started watching independent films. The small budget seems to bring out creativity.

Yeah, but not all of the movies. It actually depends in what times of movies happen these things because it sure doesn't happen to all of them!
