I have a 49.7cc scooter,putperformancecdi unit on, does this mean i have to run a hotter plug?

nope, the stock plug will do just fine. thats how i run my quad

No a hotter plug is not needed but a higher octane fuel would help!

you will only need a hotter plug if the one you have is fouling quickly
