She should realize that her father is probably hurt because she is unmarried. Parents dream about the ideal situation for their children. Single parenting is difficult, but can certainly be a successful venture. Yet it is not the dream any parent has for their children; even single parents.
Tell the girl to give her father time. If she is selfless enough, she should really try to empathize with her father. Maybe tell him she knows he is disappointed, but she can't undo the pregnancy. Ask for forgiveness and ask him to please support her and the coming grandchild.

Well her father is upset for a reason I am sure in his head is legitimate. what he doesnt realize is being that young and pregnant is scary and he needs to be there to support his daughter. Give him a chance to come around, and see if maybe he just needs time. It may be a little while. There are some parents that dont come around until the baby is born, but I bet when that little bundle of joy is here, he is not gonna be able to talk, because he is going to be so happy that he is crying. Fathers dont ever want to think of their daughters of anything but their little girl, and now that she is pregnant he is confused and hurt. Knowing that your child is growing up is scary to a parent. You want to know that you did everything right. With her being only 18 I am sure her father is somehow blaming himself for her getting pregnant, like he thinks he failed as a father. So like I said give him some time.
