I just made a custom computer, and the VGA output doesnt work... could I use a graphics card instead of that???

You sure can. If your onboard output doesn't work anymore, you can simply buy and install a graphics card. It's very easy to do and it comes with the instructions.

HOW OLD IS YOUR PC, IF IT HAS ON BOARD GRAPHICS OUT PUT AND YOU CANT CHANGE IT IN THE BIOS,MABE NOT BUT IF IT HAS A SUPER VGA SLOT NO PROBLEM OR SEE IF THAT DONT WORK TRY A PCI VIDEO CARD.

most integrated video that ive used were not as good as video cards, anyway
just buy a card that fits the best slot you have, and you should be good
