I also use the cream cheese method from time to time but it is Not a real alfredo sauce, And it is defifnitly Not the Olive Garden recipe. Try this recipe.Use Heavy cream ofr a thicker richer sauce. Using regular milk or 1/2 and 1/2 wil give a bit thinner and lighter sauce. Alfredo Sauce: 3 tbsp butter 8 fluid oz heavy whipping cream Heaping ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese Heaping ¼ cup grated ramano cheese 1 egg yolk with a pinch of salt slightly beaten 3 tbsp sour cream 2 good dashes ground nutmeg 2 good dashes garlic parmesan popcorn flavoring Salt to taste 2-3 tbsp grated parmesan for garnish Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add heavy cream, stirring constantly. Stir in salt, nutmeg, and popcorn seasoning, grated Parmesan cheese, and grated Romano cheese. Stir constantly until melted, then temper the egg yolk, and add to the sauce. Simmer over medium low heat for 3 to 5 minutes. Garnish with additional grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.

hell yes I love it....I like to make alfredo pizza....its so good and its my girlfriends favorite ....
1/2 pint heavy cream
1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons cream cheese
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese
In a saucepan over low heat, mix the cream, butter, and cream cheese, stirring constantly, until melted and well-blended. Mix in Parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Continue to cook and stir 15 minutes, or until Parmesan is lightly browned. Spread over the pizza crust. Top with mozzarella cheese.
ENJOY!!..you can buy the pizza shells at the grocery store usually next to the shredded cheese...

i luv alfredo sauce its the best in the world!!!! when my grandfather makes it on sunday night dinner i jump up and down like a little girl. hahaha

I like it on shrimp fettucinni but I wouldn't dare eat it right now because I am dieting. It would take days to burn the calories off.

it's what's for dinner. with some crab meat and tons of shrimp over pasta. to really perk it up add some crumbled bleu cheese and stir it in thoroughly.
