Does anybody know where I can find a macrame swing pattern? I would like to find free instructions.

Couldn’t find a free swing pattern. They have them for sale on a lot of web sites.
Here is a site for a free Macrame Chair pattern. If you have the swing frame, you could use the same pattern. --

Forgot to mention that if you don't have the frame then maybe you can make one with pvc pipe. There are a lot of free patterns for that.

Locally, you could check used boosktores. I have seen stacks of macrame books from the seventies.

Yes, PROVIDING you use a cord material that has VERY LITTLE "stretch", or it will sag too much. Better is to replace with NEW canvas and then macrame a seat cover to go over it.
