Reggie Bush is definately a good player, not great yet, but I believe he will get there. The main problem with making him Rookie Of The Year would be that he was not the main contributor on his offense. He may had led the team in receptions, but a seventh rounder rookie named Marques Colston had much more success on the field and if he would of stayed healthy, he would have gone away with ROTY. Bush did not run the ball like he was expected too, dropped some easy out of the backfield passes, and had two very key fumbles. He only had 8 touchdowns total (6 rushing, 2 receiving). Joseph Addai for the Colts did have eight TD's too, but he was a much bigger presence in the backfield. Out of all the rookie running backs, Maurice Jones Drew showed up to play. Totaling 15 TD's (13 rushing, 2 receiving), nearly had a thousand yards rushing, and had a monster average of 5.7 yards a carry.
As far as Rookie of the Year. It definately belonged to the right person. No one stepped in and made as big of an impact on their team than Vince Young. He may have not had the passing stats or much of any stats at that matter, but he put together a nice winning streak and actually pulled the Titans into the playoff hunt.
Bush was just another person on the team, Jones-Drew shredded defenses, and Addai gave a ground game to the Colts. Young was the leader for the Titans, stepped in, and took games into his own hands or on his feet. He deserved it.

Reggie Bush, is a little overrated. Maurice Jones-Drew is a way better runningback than Reggie. He is just one of the most popular players in the NFL because of what he did at USC. Now what every he does in the NFL gets magnified. I remember when he ran a punt return back against the Bucs and it was like he rushed for 300 yards or something. Reggie Bush did not win the Rookie of the Year award because he was not that vital to the team's success. I believe Colston was more of a contributor on offense than reggie. He would have led the league in yards if he did not get hurt midway through the season at the pace he was going. The addition of Drew Brees and a health Deuce was key to the offense. Also the quick-pass offense set up by Payton turned the Saints organizaton around.

After watching Reggie play in over 21 home games at USC, i can tell you he will be awesome. He just takes some time to get going. His first year at SC was a great example. He shared the load with Lendale and Washington, and still did things to stand out. After the first year, Reggie worked his tail off to become an amazing player, and did. And I think it is unfair to rate Reggie against LT, because LT was in a different situation. LT is far more of a power runner, and played in a pass last offense his first couple of years. Payton in NO runs a very balanced attack, and Reggie has to split carries w/ Duece. But I think Duece's contract is up soon, so Reggie can become the undisputed star. If you want to see the future of Reggie, we saw it against the Bears. First he takes a massive hit, jumps up, and slashes the leauge's best run defense for a monster run. And i will admit he showboated at the end, and it hurt the team. But i think Reggie is smart enough to learn from his mistake and go to the LT form of TD celebration.

Reggie did what needed done. He is a player that is unselfish and wanted to win. He was also coachable! He will continue to grow as a player in the NFL and will be one of the best all-around players EVER! Remember when Marshall Faulk was the reason St. Louis won. Reggie has those same kind of attributes. He can do everything. I give him one or two more years to learn defenses well enough to be the best all-around player in the league.

George has problem memorizing words so his information of the playbook is unfavourable. He also continues to be at this aspect undrafted so his NFL occupation is on carry plus he truly has in undemanding words performed first base and owned a baseball team. So, by ability of default, Reggie without taking section in a unmarried down in the NFL yet is more beneficial useful. Now, if we were evaluating Bobby Kennedy, he had a rifle arm in those relatives football video games on the Cape.

The reason he didnt have the stats expected is because people expected him to come into the league and do exactly what LaDainian Tomlinson did this year. I think he did great, considering what was expected out of him. He has awesome speed, and is a threat at back and as a slot receiver. From the looks of it, he could be a Marshall Faulk type of player. He was the perfect fit for that Saints offense, you have Deuce as your runner, Bush as your run/receiver and X Factor, and Joe Horn and Marques Colston as your go to receivers. He has the potential to be amazing, and hes well on his way to doing it.

well alot of people were expecting him to be the next ladanian tomlinson and thats alot of pressure to put on a rookie, yes some might say he was too ovverated, and no he didnt "exactly" fill "tomlinson's shoes" but he did an excellent job with his running and deep threat ability. OK put it this way. hes a great multi perpose back, he can run catch and do a little blocking, personally i think people should give him more credit hes amazingly good.

i think bush should have won it. vince young had a good year as well, but i have a feeling he's going to turn into another vick. vick had one or two good years, then teams figured him out. bush is a bigger threat as defenses have to focus in on him which opens up plays for the rest of the offense.
