Alothough I am white, I find it completly unwise. The only people who are allowed to justifiably say this are if they are visiting from a foreign country and have some kind of racial thing against Americans, but if that person wants to include their people, they can go to Africa and stay there. They can give up their citizenship and go back to Africa if they don't include everyone in America as "their people," because fighting for their rights was not easy. Although many believe that it was just blacks who fought for racial equality, it was not just them. "Whitey" was in on it too. Although this answer is controversial, coming from a 15 year old, I believe that if you want to say "My People" you include your people who helping you become part of this country. But for those blacks who live in Africa in some third world country say "My people" to talk about how poor they are, without the gas guzzling SUVs and using the N-word all the time, then I salut them, because although they are poor, they do not demot themselves.

what sort of racial themes arise? once you're asking them in case you have been white what you 2 could be talking approximately, in all probability the reason they don't have a valid answer is that it is an particularly unusual question. I understand what you're asking with it, even in spite of the shown fact that it might quite throw somebody off. informal communication attracts on a topic remember the two events might doubtlessly be interested in. in case you notice somebody donning a hockey jersey which could supply an beginning to speak approximately activities. If somebody is driving a sparkling automobile which could supply an beginning to communicate approximately automobiles. If the folk you're talking with in basic terms communicate approximately racial matters, I do think of they could be questioning with regard to the shown fact which you're actually not white. even in spite of the shown fact that, i think of it reflects extra of a loss of exposure than meant racism. they simply do no longer comprehend what matters to debate because of the fact they seem to be somewhat blinded. fairly than taking it negatively I propose finding at it as an threat to tutor those people. prepare them you're no distinctive than they are, steer the communication back to non-racial matters.

Some groups of people want to hold on to the oppression that they were taught and blame everyone else for the problems of society instead of thinking that we are all a society. It is why stereotypes and misconceptions and prejudice still exist. Every person is an individual is not what everyone is taught so some cultures do not look at society as individualistic they look at it as 1 of many. Or us against them instead of we should all work together for the betterment of everyone.

Geez, everyone says that. Get over it. If it isn't "my people" it is "my peeps." It is simply saying who you identify with.
