It always goes up over the next couple of months each year as we head into the summer vacation season. It will come back down in the fall. It wont come down as much if the weather gods predict a long cold winter.

It will almost certainly continue to go up for the next three months, but then it may go back down after that. If you want to know all the different reasons behind these predictions, check out the article, there are a lot of different variables.

"The national average price for regular unleaded on Friday was $2.55 per gallon, up more than 30 cents from a month ago, according to AAA's daily survey of more than 85,000 self-serve stations.

"The Energy Information Administration, the Energy Department's statistical agency, projects the average pump price of regular unleaded will hit a peak of around $2.70 per gallon in June, then drop off as the summer driving season wanes.

It might be higher, as warmer weather and the summer travel season often do lead to higher prices.

Unless traders buying gas futures have already bid up current prices so much that there is no change.

Of course if the prices of oil goes down, or a recession sets in, it'll likely go down.

So, it'll either go up, stay the same, or go down. You can take that to the bank.
