You need to open up an explorer window, not internet explorer, but windows explorer.
Then go to Tools -> Folder options -> View. There will be a list of items, and you just need to check "show hidden files and folders"
Once you check that and apply it, you will now be able to see the hidden items.
If you want to do this through a search, you just go to search "all files and folders" then to "more advanced options" and select "search hidden files and folders"
Then it is just a matter of deleting the unwanted files. Though be careful, many of the hidden files on the computer are required files.

two answers
1- turn hidden files on
to do this goto control panel and file options- then hit the view tab and select "show hidden files"
now you can see them in my computer- be very careful about what you delete though
2- files that are hidden from the operating system need a rootkit revealer such as ice sword http://xfocus.net/tools/200604/
again be careful about what you delete
if unsure google it
