tiger barbs WILL nip the betta, don't put them together.

depending on what else is with your tiger barbs in the 29 gallon, i'd get your 3, 3 more friends, they do best in bigger groups, spreads their aggression.

what pleco do you have in with the betta? no pleco can really thrive in a 10 gallon tank, and if you've got a common pleco or a sailfin pleco, they need a 100 gallon tank to live out their lives and grow to their full length.

tiger barbs in a ten gallon isn't good. They need lots of swimming space, and need something bigger then a 10 gallon tank.

What kind of pleco is it? If it's a sailfin or common, try to take it back to the store. They grow way too big for a 29 gallon and a 10 gallon.

Tiger barbs are not good tank mates for bettas or any other fish with long fins for that matter. They will nip and tear the fins of pretty much any fish they can catch and as quick as tiger barbs are, that's most other fish. Keep them only with other short finned, speedy fish and for best results in a group of 6 or more.

tiger barbs are mean little suckers and would love nothing better than to make sport out of shredding the long finnage of your betta---------don't do it
