I agree it's a nasty way of insulting people your son don't like even if it were true your son has no need to use it as in doing so it's mean and disrespectful. I might suggest asking him to find another way to express his anger and offer suggestions, I had a young man I worked with who up until I did that use the F word like every other word. I suggested he find another word or face consequences for his language. He did and life with him improved. Try doing so.

It's a derogatory word for gay men. It would be wise to stop him now - there are a lot of words kids say that can be hurtful to some and this is one reason we have shootings at schools. Fatty, Dork, retard, whitey, beaner, etc. A lot of words pop out of mouths without thinking. I told my kids that what they say or do has a ripple effect, even to strangers.
