My last period was on Feb 4th and it was normal. I usually get my period every 29-33 days. On Feb 20th I bled once (just a few drops or so) and it looked like a bit creamy. I read that as you get older it could be your body's way of telling you that you are ovulating. If so it seems a bit late to ovulate. Anyhow, I've taken 4 early detection hpt -all have been negative. I don't feel like myself, I'm tired, moody, cramps come and go but I don't have any sore breasts. I'm scheduled to go see my doctor in another week and will request a blood test but I'm going nuts in the meantime. Has this happened to anyone or does anyone know why this is happening? My period has always been normal.

There is still a slim chance that you may be pregnant, but by now a HPT should have recognize pregnancy hormones. I mean they can pick them up up to 5 days before a missed period. I am starting to believe that you may not be ovulating. You know our bodies can do some weird things because 43 days that almost 2 cycles ... However you are doing the right thing by scheduling an appointment and checking things out. Whatever the results may be I hope for the best and that you get the answers you're looking for. Good Luck!

I had the same issue. My body was changing (due to weight I had gained) and it sort of just happened overnight. My periods remained rather long and irregular until I started taking fertility drugs, which got me back to normal. It sounds like you are having some hormonal issues, which is normal when you have a longer period. For me, I would end up with 2-3 weeks of PMS in a 40 day cycle, which sucked!

It could be do to many things: weigh gain or loss, stress, a recent illness, or aging in your body. You might also have the doctor do an FSH test (from bloodwork) that will tell you if you are nearing menopause.

I hope it is just a weird month and that after this your body returns to normal! Good luck!

I would go to your doctor and have them draw blood. When I was pregnant with my son I took 5 and they all said negative. So after they took my blood I found out I was indeed pregnant. For giggles, when I was 6 months pregnant I bought a hpt and took it and it still came out negative. I explained it to the dr the next time I went in and he said my levels were just low. So I would definately go have the dr take a blood test,

I was not it's just a hormonal thing in women. I finally got my period regulated by taking birth control pills. Just relax it will be ok.

Well I can tell you I am 6 weeks pregnant and all the test I took showed up positive the very first day I didn't get my period. So you are probably not pregnant. I am sorry if you wanted to be. It took me 3 cycles to get pregnant. Hope you get pregnant soon if that is what you want!

HI, I have PCOS polly cystic ovarian syndrom, I didnt know that I had it till my doc looked for it. It will cause you to have abnormal periods, weird weight gain, and make it hard to get pregnate. I dont know if that is what you have but get it checked out, all they have to do is get blood work and check hormones. Hope all goes well at the doc office.
