I will not akknowledge Barry Bonds as homer run king. If they can scrutinize Mcgwire for enhancers how can we put Barry Bonds in the category as the home run king. Besides, Hank Aarron played in the dead ball era and people are still chasing him. He was the homer run king simply because he was consistent and because of his longevity.

From a statistical standpoint he could quite possibly be the all time leader in home runs. I will accept the fact that he hit more than people before. A respectable player would have retired when he could no longer play at a professional level enough to better his team. I will never respect Bonds as a person, but I cannot help but respect the numbers no matter how skewed. He is a player that goes for personal glory before the team, and his greed for personal gain makes you really appreciate the team players in the league.
Remember, all time home run leader and single season home run leader do not make someone the "Home Run King". If I were a player in the majors I would prefer to be an all around player that betters myself every game like Albert Pujols rather than a one dimensional home run hitter that cannot field or run to save his life. He is a home run hitter, nothing more.
As far as "cheating" goes, steroids can only build the body, not so much the skill. It may add 20+ feet to a long ball, but if you don't have the skill to hit a ball it doesn't improve much. It was not illegal to take steroids for a professional baseball player til the last few years. Yes, players took them for the last few decades, and yes players abilities improved. It may be immoral now, but these are the same players that everyone praised when they were playing so well. If Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa took them, and you praised them in 1998 and supported them then why do members of the media and the fans disprove the players so much now? If it wasn't cheating then, than why are they labeled cheaters now? If Bonds did "cheat" he will not get persecuted unless he is caught with illegal substances in his system after the rule changes.
I do not defend Bonds, and as much as I may dislike him and the way he is as a person, just realize that he is a person like me and you. And he is getting paid to play a GAME. How many people out there cheated in games with your sibblings or friends? All that matters in the end is that it is just a game on a larger scale.

No. I refuse to say that he is the homerun king. Maybe 500 of those were legit but still he is a cheater. I would rather see Pete Rose in the hall of fame than Barry Bonds. I wish Selig would get some backbone and actually try to get Barry Bonds. This is partly his fault.

You have to...like it or not. I can't stand the guy, but the fact is that he will have the most home runs on record, and that's the statistic he's after. I will never acknowledge him as a good person, a great teammate, a World Champion, or an honest player. But he will, in fact, be the home run leader. And that's ok, because one day someone will beat his record and we can finally all stop talking about that dirtbag.
Acknowledging that he surpasses a number doesn't mean we stop talking about Hank Aaron. Aaron was a great ballplayer and more importantly, a good man. So let Barry have the record (for now), because he will NEVER have public approval for who he is.

no longer I i'm no longer able to nicely known a cheater because of the fact the king. I in basic terms crunched Bond's numbers From 1986 to 1995 he hit a entire of286 HR's for an standard of 28.6 in keeping with 3 hundred and sixty 5 days From 1996 to 2006* he hit 442 HR's for an standard of forty 4.2 in keeping with 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. Does all and sundry have a non steroid clarification for that substantial bump in production ? * I blended the 2005/ 2006 seasons. Does somebody prefer to do Aaron's numbers and notice if he have been given extra suited as he have been given older ? thank you

Roger Maris is the single season home run champion with 61 home runs. Hank Aaron is the career home run champion with 755. I don't care how many home runs "steroid boy" hits, they all add up to "Zero". And if baseball has any integrity left, it won't acknowledge Bonds either!!!!!!!!!

If Roger Maris deserved an asterisk because he played in eight more fames than the Babe, Barroid Bonds should be in an entirely different book. He is a cheating lowlife who has no respect for himself, the fans, or the game itself. In my perfect world, irrefutable proof of steroid abuse would be found on the day he hits number 754, and he would be permanently banned before the issue arose.
