I don't know it could mean so many things. I got a dog because I wanted one. Then a friendship develops and you do things for each other. My dog is a very energetic *****. She insists on a 3 mile walk every day (if poss and it usually is). My weight has dropped from 21 stone to 14. I don't know who got the best deal. Is that getting a dog for leisure? Maybe. The relationship is more complex than a simple statement. Issabout as useful as saying I got married because I wanted a) a housekeeper b) a large hot water bottle c) Special Priviledges. What I am saying is that if you think you can put the motive for getting a dog into a few words . . . . don't get a dog. Try goldfish. Addendum - I like the 5 asterisks for a female dog!

You can enjoy the buffet at your leisure.
Here leisure means: At your convenience.
Taking a leisurely walk.
Here it means: Relaxed, in no hurry.
Basically it means: in your spare time, relaxed, take your time or don't hurry.
Leisure time is time off from work, or play time. So, sometimes when people say 'What do you do for leisure?' They're asking what you do for fun and relaxation.

Kinda like without thought and a little lazy or little tired.
A leisure person is one who would be slumping while walking and like hey, ya, whatever.

Please do the work at your leisure.
Meaning you have time, do it at your own pace.
or you could "perform a leisurely activity", something you enjoy doing.
