I was given an interview to see if am accepted into a Physician Assistant program. I am afraid that they will ask me why I have not doen a any volunteer work. I am afraid that because of that they might not accept me.I hve not done volunteer work because I wanted to shadow a Physician Assitant, but when I got to the hospital they told me that I actually have to know the Physician Assiatnt (PA) and ask the PA if I could shadow him.I don't know any PA. this week I went to see if can do volunteer work and was told that itwould take aroud 4 weeks to place me in a position. Also should I bring a resume with me or not. Please help me, thank you

Be honest, and explain that you are pursuing it at the moment. Do you work in the evenings, etc.? Sometimes they will not hold not volunteering against you if you can show that your time has been productively engaged elsewhere. If you were working, and going to school at the same time, it will show that you are driven and apply yourself well.

Go back to the hospital and get your name down right now on the list to volunteer. Then if the issue comes up in an interview say that this is pending at the hospital. And yes bring a resume with you (and get someone else to check the spelling -- badly spelled resumes are a ticket to disaster).
