my body woke itself up early today, like at 6:30 or so, and i had bad cramps, so i figured i'd probably could just fall back asleep and all go away.

well after a half hour, i had to get up 'cause by then it was really hurting. i went to the bath room and discovered that i had my period. but when i got up, the pain got SO much worse.
i decided to go down stairs for tylenol.
and i couldnt even make it to the bathroom down there. i stopped twice and blacked out cause i had so much pain in my adominal area.
i remember finally getting enough strength to get the pill bottle, but when i got it i guess i was shaking and they spilled all over the floor, but i still took two.
then i remember after i ate two i blacked out and fell to the floor and couldnt see for about 60 seconds.
then i made it to my living room screamed for my mom. she gave me a heating pad

i thought maybe i was constipated?but i wasnt.

I'm 16 and the pain went away in about two hours with the pad. i nervous now

The blacking out sounds strange. Definately mention it to your doctor next time you go.

I used to have an incredibly PAINFUL period once every 2-3 months. I would have to stay in bed curled up for 6-7 hours (as long as the pain lasted) and usually would try to sleep it off. I'd had advil and garlic pills (thins blood, making it less painful), and a heating pad (the best thing) and it still hurt like a b*tch.

The good thing was that it only last for the first day.

As long as this doesn't happen often, I wouldn't be that nervous. HOWEVER, please try to mention it to a doctor JUST to be sure.

One suggestion: exercise helps with cramps. Now, I'm not saying to get up an exercise when you are having them. But if you exercise regularly BEFORE your period comes, it helps with the cramps a LOT. And then it can make it a bit easier to exercise lightly DURING your period, which helps eliminate cramps even more. Since I've upped my exericise considerably, I haven't gotten painful cramps like that in about a year.

Good luck, I hope you are okay.

I had a friend who had pains very similar to that with her periods. Your best bet is to go on the birth control pill. Even if you're not sexually active. It helps relax muscle cramps during your period.

Try start up exercises, or do yoga. Some gentle stretches may help the releave the muscle tension in your abdomen.

See a doctor if this has never occured before with your periods

If it was that bad...why wouldn't you have called for your mom sooner? That way you wouldn't have blacked out or anything previously

You need to go to the emergency room right away. You could be severely anemic, have cysts or be having a miscarriage. Blacking out from pain that severe is an emergency. If you have an urgent care clinic, go there. Your mom needs to take you. do not drive yourself. Hope your'e better soon.

Go to the doctor, your mom should have taken you in anyway instead of just giving you a heating pad.

I would suggest calling your Dr. Those symptoms arent normal with a period. Any chance you are pregnant and are miscarrying?
