* Never allow yourself to be alone with any client.
* It would not hurt to have a video camera going during business hours. In that way if something bad happens a out of hand client cant say you started it, be it an argument or unwanted sexual overtures.
* Don't let casual sexual remarks go by - if its beyond "You look pretty today" and goes into something else, stop and tell the client that you will no longer be working on them because that kind of behavior is not tolerated.
* BE CERTAIN TO PUT UP A SIGN that says, "Service can be refused for any reason" - this is a legal strategy for your protection.
You do not have to put up with inappropriate behavior from anyone. Especially sexual harassment. You can summon a police officer at any time and file sexual harassment charges.

Keep things neutral. Wear conservative clothing. Do not add your personal self to the session.
Instead of saying, "Wow! I think that looks so hot on you!" use neutral or diverted answers that explain how this changes their appearance or impressions for /other/ people. "Doing so-in-so with your eyes brightens them, and clearly says, 'Hello' to those you meet on a daily basis." Instead of, "Your eyes demand a sexy rendezvous in the elevator!"
Basically, as long as you, yourself, keep things professional, you should be in no danger of gaining unwanted attention or actions. However, these things do happen, and in the unfortunate even that they do, you will have done all you could NOT to nurture the behavior, and therefore you shouldn't face penalty for it and the patient in question will be reassigned or dismissed from the agency.

Put a sign on the wall in front of your station that says inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and all transactions are video taped for everyone's safety.

If you work in a salon then presumably the business has a code of practice about such behaviour.
If you're freelance; stop the treatment immediately and threaten to report the incident to the police.

I don't know really. Just make sure the client doesn't get to close and if they do tell them you will now be leaving the room.
