www.craigslist.org

on the right side you choose your state and the city closest to you.

there is a section near the middle for people to buy and sell things. there is also a section labeled "items wanted". and a baby and kids section.

congrats and good luck!

Have you tried local thrift stores like goodwill or any consignement stores? Since newborns and infants grow so quickly, the clothes and equipment are still in excellent shape, and you pay a lot less for the items! Even in your local newspapers people sell clothing and equipment as well. Hope this helps a little.

eBay-half off
or you can try consignment stores.
goodwill
salvation army
your local church
Catholic charities
friends and family may have stuff if there kids have grown out of it.
I have also had loads of luck with Ikea (in the basement everything is from last year and is in great shape and about 60% off retail.)

I know what it is like to look for stuff on budget!
Good Luck

Try going to local consignment shops, they usually have items to purchase at less than 1/2 the cost of new. Tell family and friends what you need they may know someone that has this or that they aren't using anymore.

Try local second hand shops. There are many that specialize in baby and toddler stages. It is a lot of work to find stuff, by going into many times, but you can save a lot.

A good place to look is charity shops. As babies grow so fast they don't really wear out there clothes so after a good wash they are as good as new. I picked up alot of designer stuff at bargain prices for my daughter, when she had outgrown them I sent them back to the charity shop for someone else.

Now that spring is here, so are the yard sales. Hit them early and you'll find tons of great deals on baby gear.

Go to Babys 'R' Us or throw a baby shower. That way, you can get stuff for baby for free.

try looking for pregnancy support centers in your local area. a lot of them have free diapers, clothes, furniature, etc.

if they dont have them for free a lot of them have point earning systems in place where you watch movies and attend classes and get what is called baby buxs
