I had just gotten my tea and toast and was sitting down to watch the last of Good Morning America with Charles Gibson and Diane Sawyer. At first they thought it was an accident and so did I , like how could an airliner hit such a tall building like that. But then like everyone in the world my reaction turned to horror when the next one hit and then the Pentagon and at one time they thought the State Dept might get hit. Then the one that went into the field in Pa.

My phone rang and it was my best friend in Winnipeg, her son was supposed to be at a ' shoot' at the wtc that morning but his flight had been cancelled the night before for no apparent reason.

Next I called my sil to find out if my brother was in NYC he wasn't.

It was a horrible horrible day and week. I stayed tuned to the late Peter Jennings and Tom Brokaw, but mainly Jennings but he kept everything so calm or so we thought.

I think in that instant Bush had the world's support, but a few days later he blew it by thanking everyone except Canada. And if it hadn't been for Canada taking in all those jetliners ,there would have been alot more than 3000 deaths . That's when the majority of Canadians started to look at Bush with a fish eye and began to wonder about his administration and him.
