Reports late Friday night are claiming that Francisco Lariano will need ligament surgery and will miss the entire 2007 season. The young pitcher posted a 12-3 record with a minuscule 2.16 ERA and with Johan Santana quickly formed a potent 1-2 punch and propelled on a late season surge that propelled them into the playoffs. If Lariano does end up out for the season, this would be quite a blow to the Twins and might cause them to enter the crowd of teams seeking starting pitching help this off-season.

Tommy John's surgery- out for season. I hope he recovers for '08. I'm a Royals fan, but I loved watching him last year. Phenomenal!
