I've not spoken to my close female friend for 4 months as we got to close.I told her that I wanted no contact so that I could get over my feelings for her. She only wanted to be friends.
1 month ago she sent a txt saying the friendship is OVER and for me to get on with life.
A week later we met at a friends reunuion party,we spoke a lot but she looked hurt and uncomfortable.
At the end of the night she hugged me tightly and said take care+we'll see each other on the group roadtrip.
Today I wrote her an email(via facebook,where we've emailed ech other a few times) asking if we're still friends(was confused as she said the friendship is over).
She wrote back saying:"Yes emailings great.Yes we are still friends. Yes, I'm very busy. Yes, I'm sure you are too xx"
Why did she say the friendship is over???Would she still be angry at me for taking a break from her???
Will it ever be the same as before???

Being a real woman, let me explain how this all went down: When you admitted to her that you had feelings for her, I think she got scared and wasn't ready to explore things with you as a partner because she feels more comfortable with you as a friend and wasn't ready to involve herself as anything more than that. I think she needed to see if you were dealing with things okay at the friend's reunion party because she must have needed to clear up a few things in her head which is why she said the friendship was Over but after having time to think and after occupying herself, she had thought things through. I think that you both needed to take a break from each other, so that's why she said that it was over and it's okay that you took a break from each other. It all depends on how you feel right now towards her and how she feels towards you that will determine if things will be the same as before. I think you should just keep e-mailing her and have the same conversations as you used to have before to see if things will work out as before; things will work themselves out.

this is a difficult time for both of you, i think that she does want friendship now, and the reason why she cut contact before was because she couldnt handle the situation at that time, now it seems shes had time to think through things more clearly. i would say when friendship has problems, or any relationship for that matter, it is never quite the same, but that doesnt mean its not as good either. we all grow emotionally in relationships, give her time and take it one step at a time. good luck

Do you think she really wrote the txt? Maybe she was thinking about you a lot, and her friedn was tired of it, so her friend txted you from her phone? It's hard to tell from this angle, but I don't think she's crazy. Maybe someone else had hurt her while you weren't contacting, or what ever you want to call it. Maybe she was hurt too bad to cover it up?

Seems that neither really know your own feelings towards the other. No need to fix up rules to be or not to be friends. Let time & your own hearts tell how much or how little you want to be with each other. Just be polite & civil to each other, more important than that, be true. Do what's comes naturally.

You are going to have to talk to her face to face to get this cleared up. I think she just knows that you are going to run into each other because you have mutual friends. She doesn't want that to be uncomfortable. I don't think she's looking to rekindle a relationship that she wasn't comfortable with to begin with. Can you be friends without wanting more?
