I moved to Florida in August of 2004, So I have lived here about 2 and half years. When I moved here I weighed 135 on my bad days, I have always been pretty active but over the last 2 years I have been less because of college and what not, well the other day I stepped on the scale for the first time and i am up to 190, I am absolutely discusted by this. I am 5'4. Well I have started walking at least one mile a day at the walking park then I try to cycle on a stationary bike for at least 20 minutes then I do sit-ups then on other days I walk for 45 minutes then use the weight equipment for my arms and do crunches. I do not drink soda, I usually drink lots of water and propel and gatoraid, I also have tried to drink green tea. I have been watching my calorie intake and try to eat lots of fruits and vegetables along with high fiber cereals. Is there anything else I can do to help get the weight off? It doesnt seem to be coming off as fast as it use to when I wanted to lose a few pounds.

Have you had your thyroid tested? if it's underactive that'll cause weight gain and make it impossible to keep off.

If your thyroid is in working condition, then maybe your metabolism has just started to slow down? try doing new activities instead of the usual, research shows that doing the same thing over and over again can be discouraging. Instead of walking for 45 minutes, go play tennis for half an hour, or even an hour!

Keep eating healthy, make sure it's the complex carbs not the simple ones. Soetimes, it is even better to cut down on the complex carbs in general, they take a while to digest.

But see a doctor and get everything checked out. Good luck and stay motivated
