Why would you be envious of people doing something you don't want to do?
If you are truly envious then you really want to wear green. Just do it and have fun. Lots of other folks who normally look terrible in green will be wearing it too. It's all part of the fun.
Or if you really don't want to wear green, don't wear it. I'm okay with green, but it's laundry day so I'm not wearing any. No big deal.

You do not have to wear green for Saint Patrick's Day. You could always wear a green braclet or scrunchie, and no, green with envy does not count.
