I know it sounds stupid, but is there any possible way to text someone like, off the net or something??

If you're sending a message to someone with a sprint or nextel phone then you can send a text from their website ... sprint.com .... you may need an account with them to do it

if you have yahoo messenger you can do it
I sent my son a text message using my phone option in yahoo messenger

their cell carrier might have that feature on their website. I have texted from the computer before.

how could you not have a telephone and be on the internet at the same time. Your computer has to tie in with the phone co. outlet and your phone ties in to your computer.

you cant. texting is speciffically for phones.
