I think it has to do with all the religious crap. Thats why I stand by my theory that religion is only a way to control, and steal from the uneducated masses. Its all good though, because people that are just so damn opposed to it, and spend their lives trying to tell others that its not right, usually end up BLESSED with a gay son or daughter. Its karma's little joke on them.

I am all for same sex marriages, but the reason i think that most people think its wrong is because they say that in the bible it says that it's not supposed to be that way, but what about our right to choose what we want it says that too in the bible, so i think it has alot to do with religion....even though most people think there shouldn't be in a war but they aren't doing anything to stop that, but they will try to stop us from marrying the same sex.....it don't make any sense to me!!!

To hear the bible pounders go on about it, apparently legalized bestiality and paedophilia is just around the corner if gays are allowed to get married.
Funny though, we've had Gay marriage in Canada for a long time now I don't find my cat the least bit attractive. There must be something wrong with me. lol
Funny Baptists! LMFAO

Same sex marriage is only not allowed because close minded concervative christians who bellive that "God" is going to smite the earth because people are gay. The goverment would actualy benifit marriage of same sex as that it would give them something more to tax as that people married tend to pay more taxes than those single.

They fear if they treat everyone equal, they won't be able to feel superior to anyone. The same reason people have been discriminating since day one.

If we as a society accept a practice and legalize it then we are opening ourselves up to the eventual desensitizing that is the overall goal for gay activists. I for one do not want my children being taught in school that this is an acceptable life style. My children are taught that God says marriage is between one woman and one man and that sin, including gay practices, are an abomination to Him.

Opponents fear that Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.
