Please ask more questions to your medical professional. Bug them, until you are satisfied with the answers. Remember it's YOUR body and you have the right to know what is going on with your pregnancy.

C-section is a major surgical procedure and you are then faced with dealing with an extremely premature baby for many months to come.

Demand ultrasounds, and any non-invasive diagnostic results that justify a premature C-section delivery.

Also check out the March of Dimes organization, they can offer help and support regarding premature birth. They have a wonderful website

I wish you the best and a safe pregnancy.

IMO this poster is full of crap, there is no way that a doctor is going to perform a c-section at 3 months, that would be an abortion. No baby can survive after being in the womb for only 3 months, I am currently 3 months pregnant and my baby is only 4.07cm big, so there is no way that she is telling the truth.

You must be confused. There is no way on earth a doctor would perform a c-section at 3 months. The baby is way too young to live outside your uterus. If you are trying to make a joke, its not funny. And if you are serious, you need a new doctor!
At 3 months, your baby is 2.5 to 3 inches long. The baby weights half an ounce. A child that small needs to be in its Mommy's tummy!

I think that what your doctor may want to do is remove that baby as it is not healthy enough to survive. In which case it doesn't count as a c-section, as there is no way the foetus will survive. It will be a termination.

Either that, or it is not a c-section, but an operation that you need, such as removal of ovarian cysts...??

I'm not sure, but NO, at 3 months your baby has no chance of survival, the youngest to survive out of the womb was 21 weeks.

Sorry!

there is no way you are having a c- section at three months. they would do a dnc not a c-section. the baby cannot survive as it doesnt have all its organs you are only like 12-16 weeks that baby is not viable. the baby is dead if they are removing it at this young stage and they arent doing a c-section they do dncs where the suck it out and the scrape your uterus

read her previous questions this person is a liar. a week ago she was 4 months pregnant this week she is three months. you are rude for lying to people and posting such bogus posts get a life. this is neither funny nor cute

I'm so sorry. A 3 mos old can't survive outside the womb. Is your own health in danger that they are suggesting this?

You need to have a serious discussion with your doctor about this. Take someone else along who is likely to be able to stay calm and collected and help you ask questions and write down the answers so you can understand everything.

I THINK MAYB UR CONFUSED AS 2 HOW FAR ALONG U R OR AS 2 THE PROCEDURE THAT HAS BEEN SCHEDULED. YOU NEED 2 CALL UR DR IMMEDIATELY AND ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS B4 DECIDING ON ANYTHING. THEY DO NOT DO C SECTIONS AT 3 MONTHS ,IT IS NOT POSSIBLE. I HOPE EVERYTHING GOES WELL 4 U. IF U MEAN UR 6 MONTHS WHICH IS 3 MONTHS B4 UR DUE THEN UR BABY HAS A VERY GOOD CHANCE OF SURVIVING. GOOD LUCK....

i am not fully understanding your question. there is no way, not even possible, that a doctor would schedule a c-section at 3 months. a baby cannot live outside the womb at 3 months. and they definitely would not schedule one if the baby is still alive because that's against the law. it would basically be killing your child.

Get a 2nd opinion. IMO it's not a c-section at 3 months....it's an abortion. The baby will NOT survive.

Based on your other questions about your pregancy you probably lost both the babies in the miscarige. Its a bit odd that you would only lose one. So your doc is probably doing a D&C. I would still talk to him/her and know exactly what is going on with your body.
